Blue Lakes Adventure Camp is an RV campground in Elmira, Michigan. The campground features 105 RV campsites and 5 cabins, all services by full water, sewer and electric hook-ups. The campground amenities include a pool, bath house, playground, general store and asphalt drives. GFA worked with the Owner to develop a plan that would maximize the allowable campground density while meeting all zoning, local agency, and State camground and utility requirements. State of art vehicle maneuvering software was utilzied to ensure that RV's could make all turning radii and comfortably drive throughout the campground. GFA provided full engineering design and permitting services for a community drain field with associated dosing tanks, septic tanks and a collection system (approximatley 2,800 feet of 6" diameter sanitary sewer), and a Type 2 community well with associated water distribution system (approximatley 3,700 linear feet of 3" diameter water main). This process was streamlined by GFA's expertise of Michigan EGLE requirements of wastewater systems, water distribution systems, and public pool and campground permitting. Topographic surveying and construction staking services were provided by GFA's survey department. Construction is currently underway and Blue Lakes Adventure Camp is slated to open in 2024.
