The Delta Center is a two-story office building in Traverse City that multiple businesses run operations from. The existing parking lot was beyond its useful life and needed reconstruction. GFA was hired to provide design and construction services for a new parking lot. Constructed by Molon Excavating, the new parking lot was designed to meet City of Traverse City zoning and storm water requirements and included a new parking/maneuvering configuration, landscaping, site lighting, and a new low impact storm water management system with rain gardens to reduce water pollution and promote infiltration. The new parking lot will last for years to come while providing a much needed facelift to the curb appeal of the building.
