GFA serves at the Township Engineer for the largest municipality in Northern Michigan: Garfield Township. Water studies identified that a new water storage tank was needed to keep up with demand. GFA provided all surveying, preliminary and final engineering design, and bidding and construction project management services for this project. The $4.5 million project, which was funded through Garfield Township's General Water Fund, included a new 1.0 MGD ground based water storage tank, 1,000 square foot building, 3 high service pumps, 1 fire pump, and control valve configurations.
