In 2026, Harrison City Park and Harrison Little League Program received a major upgrade to their facilities. Funded by a gran from the Council of Michigan Foundations, the park received new accessible parking areas, concrete pathways to provide connectivity throughout the fields, park amenities by Play Environments Design, and a centralized gathering space with a new Huffcutt Concrete concession building and restrooms with automatic locking doors. GFA navigated grant budget constraints by evaluating stick-built vs. prefabriated restroom options. Environmental hurdles were discoverd during cosntruciton as the park sits next to a capped landfill and debris was found to be scattered across the site, requiring removal and disposal. GFA provided full engineering, surveying, grant adminstration and construction services for this fantastic addition to the City. The project was complted by Wilcox Contracting of Gladwin, Michigan.
