MDOT rebuilt a 2-mile section of the Grandview Parkway in the City of Traverse City in 2024 from Garfield Avenue to Division Street. The project included operational enhancements at major intersections, drainage improvements, ADA upgrades, repairs to the Murchie Bridge over the Boardman River, new signs, pavement markings, new watermain, adjacent TART trail reconstruction, and a full depth roadway reconstruction. The $24.7 million dollar project was the largest infrastructure improvment project to date in the Northwest Michigan region. GFA provided full-time construction testing and observation for MDOT on this monumental project.
