Peninsula Township wanted to build a new fire station to serve and increase response times to the north end of the Old Mission Peninsula. GFA served as the both the Project Manager on behalf of the Township and provided site design engineering for the project, while Environment Architects provided the architectural design. The $1.1 million project was constructed by Grand Traverse Construction with site work completed by Team Elmer's. Fire Station 3 includes fire staff housing and housing for the department's Medical First Response truck and boat.
