Hamilton Place is a 15-unit vacation rental complex located in the heart of Traverse City. GFA worked with O'Grady Development Company to maximize the potential of the 0.5 acre property located at the corner of Munson Avenue (M-72) and Hamilton Street while meeting the strict requirements of the City of Traverse City ordinances. The result is four multi-unit buildings, each 3-story's tall that provide an upscale modern lodging option for visitors to the area. The design included a new parking area for guests, a network of sidewalks connecting the units and a community courtyard area. The tight sight constraints and buildings locations provided unique design challenges for extending public watermain and sanitary sewer. and controlling storm water runoff. GFA provided full consulting services, including surveying, site engineering, permitting, and construction observation to make this conceptual idea a reality.
